Seedfolks, by Paul Fleischman, tells the story of how a 9-year old girl’s simple act of planting lima bean seeds sparks 13 very different individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, cultures, and ages to come together to create a community garden. TLC’s new, 5-part series for children and young adults will introduce the basics of gardening and teach techniques for growing success. Participants will sprout seeds, transfer plants, tend the garden, and harvest produce. The end of the series will culminate in a garden feast!
