Working With Natural Dyes

Decorate the harvest table this season with a runner or placemats made using natural dyes extracted from goldenrod and walnuts. Nichole Gerding discusses historic uses of dyes and how to identify and responsibly harvest local dye-producing plants. Preparation and dyeing techniques using natural mordants and modifiers are presented. Try your hand at these heritage skills and share them with your friends and family this year. Registration fee includes all materials.
